Many people on social media have asserted that it is a deepfake. Even while Oviya and her team haven’t directly commented on the controversial topic, she shared a picture of herself on Instagram on Saturday.


Oviya reacts to leaked private video

She responded to a person who attempted to harass her in the comments section by asking her to share the extended version of her private video. She said, “Next time bro.” The screenshots of her reply were already making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), even though she has disabled the comments section on the post on her Instagram.

As the video went viral, many people were shocked to see it, while others wondered if someone had altered the images just to trouble her on social media.

Oviya, a well-known actor from South India whose real name is Helen Nelson, works in Malayalam and Tamil movies. Despite making her acting debut in the 2007 Malayalam film Kangaroo, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, she didn’t come to notice until 10 years later when she made an appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil 1. The 2017 reality TV show premiered on Star Vijay, with Kamal Haasan as host.
